Lorette cyclist killed near Ste. Anne

   A 70-year-old man has died during the morning of March 19 after his bicycle was hit by a truck Monday on a Manitoba highway.

RCMP say the collision took place around 10 a.m. on Highway 12, less than a kilometre south of the Trans-Canada Highway near Ste. Anne, Man.

The cyclist, a 70-year-old man from Lorette, Man., was pronounced dead in hospital, RCMP said in a release.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Road conditions and visibility were reported to be good at the time of the collision. Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the collision.
