The Town of Niverville is excitedly preparing to host the 2nd Annual Recreation and Wellness Showcase. The one day event will take place September 15 from 4:30 to 9:30 at the Niverville Heritage Centre.
Organizer John Falk anticipates that the showcase will exceed last year’s expectations.
“Last year was our first event and the goal was for organizations to promote their products or services pertaining to recreation and wellness,” explained Falk. “We had over thirty exhibitors last year and will have many more this year.”
There will be many door prizes as well as demonstrations by various groups such as Tae Kwan Do, Kick Boxing, Elite Fitness, the RCMP and many other organizations.
“We feel Recreation and Wellness is vital to the quality of life in a community and this is a great way to let people know what is all available in our community,” Falk added. “Hopefully, as a result we will get more people involved in a healthy and active life style.”
To assure that residents will come out and take advantage of the Recreation and Wellness Showcase, the group has partnered with Chipper Ice Sports and Niverville High School. Both organizations are holding their fall registrations and coach/parent meetings the same night at the same location.
“This change alone will bring hundreds of additional people to the event,” Falk added confidently.
The 2nd Annual Recreation and Wellness Showcase is open to the general public and is free of charge.
