St. Adolphe decorator recognized in Toronto

   An interior design and decorator from St. Adolphe received an honorable mention during the Canadian Decorator’s Association’s annual gala in Toronto.

   Alison Griffith owner of Studio 48 North is thrilled to have been recognized with an honorable mention at the 2010 Awards for Design and Decoration which were handed out at the end of April at a gala event in Toronto.

   “I felt honoured and proud to be the recipient from over one hundred submitted entries from all across Canada,” stated Griffith. “I’ve been an Interior Decorator for almost seven years and I really enjoy my work.”

   At the gala, Griffith received an honorable mention for her design of Lash Love, a hair salon in Winnipeg in the category of Design Excluding Kitchens.

   After submitting samples of the project, her work was evaluated by an independent panel of judges who looked at the design and chose winners for prestigious National Awards that recognize excellence in six categories. Winners of each category received a trophy and cash prize.

   As the owner of Studio 48 North, Griffith works for people who are either building, buying, renovating, or selling their homes.

   “My philosophy is to create a home that flows flawlessly from the outside to the inside, and from front to back, and side to side,” added Griffith. “ Even when you’re combining households, I can make the transition from “mine” to “ours” seamless.”

   Griffith is also the principal decorator for MJMA Construction Ltd, where she is responsible for choosing all the finishes for the display homes as well as homes for individual clients. But her expertise is not limited to homes.

   Pat and Arnold Burtney, owners of the Laughing Loon in Falcon Lake have nothing but praise for Griffith’s work.

   “Alison worked very closely with us. She shared her ideas, suggestions, and ways for us to create a warm, more inviting atmosphere for our customers,” stated the Burtney’s. “Her imagination, talent, and enthusiasm are endless, and exciting  – this made us feel confident in our decisions and very pleased with the end result.”

   Studio 48 North is located in St. Adolphe, but services are available throughout the region.

Alison Griffith, from Studio 48 North in St. Adolphe won an honorable mention for turning this empty space into a gorgeous salon.
